Leather Lane Market

Greville Street & the Clerkenwell Road

This market is in the heart of the city and is a favourite at lunchtime for City workers. Many sandwich bars canbe found here as well as stalls selling clothing, shoes, handbags, electrical goods, flowers and fruit and veg at very reasonable prices, perfect for a lunch hour break.
Interestingly the origin of the name has nothing to do with the leather bags and shoes that are sold here.
Infact in the 13th century the street was called LeVrunelane and over the centuries has been changed
several times, eventually to Leather Lane as we know it today.

Opening hours: Monday -Friday
